Saving a slot machine
- Be sure no one is using the slot machine when you sit down. Players usually save their machines for short breaks.
- When you’re ready for a break, try not to hold your slot machine for more than 15 minutes.
- Before you leave a machine, check with a slot attendant on any specific house policy regarding holds. Never leave credits or valuables unattended when you take a break.
Stay out of the way when you're not in play
Sit at a slot machine only when you’re playing it. If you aren’t playing, give the machine to a playing guest.

Buying chips
Buy chips at the table from the dealer. Place your cash on the table just outside of your betting spot. Tell the dealer the denomination of chips you want to buy.
Touching your chips
Once the dealer calls “no more bets”, that’s your cue to not touch your chips until the play on the hand is completed. Your original bet must stay untouched on the layout until it wins, loses, or ties.
Stacking your chips
If you are betting two or more different denomination chips, always place the higher denomination chip on the bottom of your stack of chips.
Touching your cards
The cards are dealt face up for secure play, easy viewing, and for the dealer to call the total for each player's hand. There's no reason to handle the cards you’re dealt, so be sure not to touch them.

How to join a game
You can join a game anytime the ball has landed and the croupier has finished paying off winning bets from the previous round. Watch out for a clear plastic piece called a dolly. If it’s sitting on the table, you can’t join the game… just yet.
Betting around other players
Because players place their own bets on the table, and multiple bets can be placed on the same spot, things can get a little close as everyone tries to get their bets down. This is just part of the game but if it feels too chaotic for you, try a quieter table.
The etiquette of placing bets
If someone else’s chips already cover the bet you want to place, don’t worry, it’s okay to stack your chips on top of theirs. The croupier can keep track since each player has a unique chip colour for the table.
Leaving a table
When you’re ready to leave a table do not bring the roulette chips from that table to any other – they will be worthless, even at other roulette tables. Chips are specific to each table.
